Effat Alami Obituary (1943 - 2023)

Effat Alami, born on January 1, 1943, in Gaza, Palestine, was a pillar of strength, love, and faith for her family and community. She passed away on June 24, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, compassion, and unshakable belief in the power of kindness. Effat, a dedicated and loving housewife, brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. She resided in Denton, Texas, after having lived in Amman, Jordan; Kuwait; and her birthplace, Gaza, Palestine. Effat was steadfast in her Islamic faith, and her life's work centered around the well-being of her family and countless acts of charity, which brought solace and support to those who needed it most. Effat was a shining example of the Quran's teachings, as evidenced by her selfless acts of charity and love. In the words of the Quran, "And whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer - those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged, [even as much as] the speck on a date seed" (Quran 4:124). Effat's love for her family and her unwavering commitment to her faith was a testament to her adherence to these profound teachings. Effat is survived by her loving daughter, Doha Alnabulsi, her Sons Ayman and Firras Alnabulsi, Grandchildren Farrah, Noor, Rad, Omar, Alaa, Bilal and her son-in-law, Jeff Bland. She was predeceased by her husband, Omar Nabulsi; her father, Kamal Alami; and her mother, Nabiha Alami. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
