Hayat Hanafi

–

Forney, Texas

Hayat Hanafi, a beacon of compassion and generosity, drew her last breath on August 17, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and empathy. Born on December 24, 1945, in Medina, Saudi Arabia, Hayat's life was a testament to the depth of her affection for her family and the joy she found in her hobbies of cooking, sewing, and arts & crafts. She was an interpreter by profession, working in social services, and her empathetic nature made her an asset in her field, bridging the gap between cultures and languages.

Hayat's life was a living embodiment of the Quranic verse, "And We have certainly created man in the best of stature" (95:4). She was not only defined by her generous spirit but also by her unwavering love for her family, which was her greatest joy and what mattered most to her. She was a loving mother to Mazin, Hadeel, and Hanna Siddiq, and a doting grandmother to Rochelle, Amera, Imani, Priest, and Laila Siddiq, as well as Yaseen Haynes and Ra and Set Terrell. Hayat was preceded in death by her parents, Yaseen Hanafi and Nafisa Siddiq.

The family invites loved ones to join them in honoring Hayat’s life. The washing ceremony will take place at the Rahma Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas, on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 11:00 am CDT, followed by a visitation at the same venue at 12:00 pm CDT. The Zuhur/Janzah prayer will be held at the IANT Mosque, Richardson, Texas, at 1:45 pm CDT, and the burial will be at the Farmersville Cemetery, Farmersville, Texas, at 3:15 pm CDT.

In loving memory of Hayat, we encourage you to share your cherished memories, stories, or photos on her memorial page. These shared reflections will serve as a reminder of the loving, generous, and empathetic woman that Hayat was and continue to inspire us in our daily lives.
