Hussein Ali Tawil

Alvarado, Texas

Hussein Ali Tawil
January 5, 1963 – December 14, 2025

Hussein Ali Tawil, 62, passed away on December 14, 2025, in Alvarado, Texas, after a courageous battle with end-stage congestive heart failure. He was born on January 5, 1963, in Beirut, Lebanon, and carried his roots with pride throughout his life.

Throughout the years, Hussein made his home wherever he was closest to family. He lived with his children in Burleson, Texas for a time, with his brother Mohamad in Houston, Texas, and spent his final year in Alvarado, Texas, where he passed.

While living in Burleson with his children, Hussein found joy in the simple moments of family life. He loved grilling and cooking Mediterranean food. He enjoyed taking his children to Chuck E. Cheese, Toys “R” Us, Radio Shack, various shopping malls in the DFW area like Hulen Mall, and he cherished family outings to restaurants like Byblos Meditteranean, Hedary's Medditeranean, and Japanese Palace where the staff welcomed the family warmly and delighted the children with Pokémon cards and small toys—gestures that left lasting memories. Hussein also loved football and could often be found cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Hussein was preceded in death by his mother, Afaf Ali Ahmad; his father, Ali Tawil; and his brother, Mohamad Tawil. He shared a close bond with Mohamad’s family and spent meaningful time with his sister-in-law, Patricia Tawil, and his nieces and nephew, Hannah Tawil, Sydney Tawil, and Ryan Tawil.

He is survived by his three sons of Burleson, Texas: Kyle Tawil (Serena Tawil), Joseph Tawil, and Christopher Tawil; and by his grandchildren, Liliana Tawil and Mckayla Tawil. Hussein was deeply generous and instinctively protective of those he loved. He adored his granddaughters in every way possible, cherishing every moment with them. Mckayla lovingly called him “Hababy,” a name born from her attempt to say “Habibi,” and one that perfectly captured the tenderness of their bond.

He is also survived by his sisters in Lebanon: Joumana Tawil, Dina Ayoub, Hala Tawil, and Ola Ghandour, along with many nieces and nephews born and raised in Beirut.

Hussein had a lifelong passion for aviation and spent many years working in the aviation industry throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, particularly at and around Meacham Airport in Fort Worth, Texas—an interest that reflected both his curiosity and his love of flight.
