O.V. Minor Obituary (1946 - 2022)

O.V. Minor was born on October 5th, 1946 in Longview, Texas to Mr. Oscar & Mrs. Earla (Johnson) Minor. On October 2nd, 2010 he married Arnie Sanders. He loved dressing in classy clothes, shoes, and hats. He enjoyed family get-togethers and the outdoors, and he was a devout Muslim for over 40 years and was faithful to his belief in Islam and its teachings. O.V was a business owner who worked for Star-Telegram. Upon retirement, he opened a retail shop, did landscaping, and delivered pizza for Domino's. O.V. became ill and was placed in hospice care until he departed this life on January 27th, 2022. He was preceded in death by parents Oscar Minor and Earla (Johnson) Minor, brothers J.C. and Richard, and sisters Ruby, Beverly, and Thelma. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Arnie Minor; his sons Darrell, Dewayne, Douglas, Lamar, Michael, James, Abdul, Ja'whar; daughters, Destiny and Swayy; siblings, Bilal (Sheree) of Dallas, Texas, Dorothy Chumbley of Dallas, Texas Nadine Minor, Mary Sheppard, Velma Shipman, Debra Minor, Annie Robinson and her husband Willie all of Fort Worth, Texas, Durenda Miller of Seattle Washington.
